Hey everyone – I’m Becca. I’m a historical artist that brings back faces from the past with many years of experience! My work has been featured everywhere from archaeology journals to book covers.
In the video below, I used some of my expertise to correct AI “history” images I’ve found online that didn’t quite have accuracy in mind.
These tools can be great – I use them for bits and pieces of my work as well – but these channels are straight up typing in “make me an image of Marie Antoinette” and then just….posting it.
So, let’s give these amazing historical figures the gift of historical research, empathy, and accuracy!
A summary of what I did to each image:
- Ensured facial features matched a reliable source portrait
- Matched the hair and headdresses to the period in which the figure lived
- Added historically relevant outfits, makeup, and hairstyles
- Removed anachronous elements
- Fixed up the AI artifacts left by the generation process
